These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Egobill (egobill.ng), a Virtual Top-Up (VTU) and bill payment platform operated by RETOP TECH SOLUTIONS. By creating an account, funding your wallet, or completing any transaction on this platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Account Use
- You must provide accurate personal details during registration and keep your profile information up to date.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out through your login credentials and device.
- You must protect your password and one-time-password (OTP) codes and must not share them with third parties.
- We may restrict, suspend, or terminate any account used with false details, unauthorized payment methods, or suspicious behavior.
2. KYC, Identity and Security Verification
- We may request identity documents, BVN, NIN, or other verification records when required for compliance, risk checks, or dispute handling.
- If requested KYC information is not submitted within the required period, we may limit or suspend access to some or all services.
- Accounts linked to identity mismatch, impersonation, or fraudulent activity may be permanently disabled and reported to relevant authorities.
3. Wallet Funding and Payments
- Wallet top-ups must originate from lawful payment sources and from accounts/cards you are authorized to use.
- Any chargebacks, reversed card payments, or flagged transfers may lead to temporary hold, wallet debit, or account suspension pending review.
- Platform fees, gateway fees, and service charges may apply and are displayed before you confirm eligible transactions.
- Crypto-linked or otherwise prohibited sources may be rejected or held until enhanced review is completed.
4. VTU Service Fulfillment
Our core services include airtime, data bundles, cable TV subscription, electricity bills, and other digital utility payments. On successful debit, we route your order to supported third-party providers and aggregators.
- You must confirm recipient number, meter/account number, provider, and plan/package before submitting payment.
- Wrong recipient details entered by you may lead to irreversible delivery; such cases are not guaranteed for refund.
- Service delivery time depends on third-party provider uptime, network quality, and gateway availability.
- A "pending" status may require additional processing time before final success or reversal is determined.
5. Failed Transactions, Reversals and Refunds
- Where a transaction fails after wallet debit, we initiate automated or manual reconciliation with the provider.
- Approved reversals are credited back to your wallet after confirmation from our gateway/provider logs.
- Final timelines for dispute resolution depend on the affected provider and may vary by service type.
- Refunds to external bank accounts are only processed where required and after compliance checks.
6. Prohibited Activities
- Fraud, impersonation, stolen payment instruments, account takeover attempts, bot abuse, and system probing are strictly prohibited.
- Bulk spam, abusive messages, or any use that disrupts the platform or other users is prohibited.
- Any attempt to exploit pricing, duplicate credits, or transaction loopholes may result in immediate account restriction.
7. Service Availability and Changes
- We may update pricing, service providers, transaction limits, and platform features at any time.
- We may temporarily disable specific services due to maintenance, compliance obligations, or provider outages.
- We are not liable for downtime caused by telecom operators, banks, billers, aggregators, or force majeure events.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Egobill is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from delayed fulfillment, provider downtime, wrong details entered by users, or unauthorized access caused by user negligence.
9. Complaints and Support
For disputes or complaints, contact us through the channels on the Contact page with your transaction reference, date/time, and affected service. We review all reports in line with our internal dispute process.
10. Updates to These Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically. Updated versions become effective once published on this page. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated Terms.
